The PTFE Oval Stir Bars, also known as oval magnetic stirring bars for round bottom flasks, are designed for laboratory stirring applications where the vessel has a curved base. They are suitable for chemistry laboratories, teaching laboratories, preparation rooms, research laboratories and routine bench mixing workflows. The oval profile is intended for use in round bottom flasks, also known as boiling flasks. This shape helps the stir bar sit more naturally against the curved flask base compared with standard straight cylindrical bars.
The design supports stable rotation during magnetic stirring and helps reduce chatter during operation. This is useful where controlled mixing is required in compatible round bottom vessels.
