Description
The Pear-Shaped Flask with Joint is manufactured from high-quality BORO 3.3 borosilicate glass, conforming to ISO 3585:1998 and ASTM E438, Type I, Class A glass quality requirements. These standards define low-expansion borosilicate glass used in laboratory apparatus, providing excellent thermal resistance, chemical durability and dimensional stability.
Its pear-shaped design directs liquid towards the narrow lower section, making the flask suitable for evaporation, distillation, sample concentration, solvent recovery and other procedures involving small quantities of material. The transparent glass construction enables clear observation of the sample throughout heating, mixing and processing.
The integrated ground glass joint allows a secure connection with compatible condensers, adapters, receivers and other jointed laboratory glassware. The precision-formed joint supports reliable assembly while helping reduce vapour loss and maintain an enclosed laboratory setup when correctly fitted.
BORO 3.3 glass offers strong resistance to commonly used laboratory chemicals and controlled temperature changes. Its low coefficient of thermal expansion helps improve resistance to thermal shock during routine heating and cooling applications. The smooth, non-porous glass surface supports effective cleaning and helps minimise contamination between laboratory procedures.
LabChoice Australia supplies ISO- and ASTM-quality Pear-Shaped Flasks with Joint for chemical laboratories, research facilities, educational laboratories, industrial testing, sample preparation and quality-control applications. Users should select the appropriate flask capacity and joint size to ensure compatibility with their laboratory glassware system.
