Bell jar experiment equipment for demonstrating that sound becomes faint and disappears as air is removed from a sealed chamber. Full kit includes glass bell jar, vacuum plate with valve, rubber seal, battery operated electric bell, and instructions, with the bell removable for other vacuum experiments. Spare bell option is supplied separately for the bell jar kit, model MS0019-01, with stated dimensions. Electric vacuum pump, tubing, and AA batteries are required but not included for the full kit.

Bell jar and vacuum plate supplied with a battery operated electric bell. Used to demonstrate the nature of sound waves by showing that sound does not exist in a vacuum, as air is pumped out of the jar the bell sound becomes fainter until it disappears. Includes bell jar, vacuum plate with valve, rubber seal, bell and instructions. Bell may be removed for other vacuum experiments. Bell jar material is glass. Electric vacuum pump required, not included. Two AA batteries and tubing required, not included.
