The Boss Head Clamp, Jumbo Heavy Duty, also known as a jumbo bosshead or heavy-duty retort stand clamp holder, is designed for connecting compatible rods, clamps and support apparatus in laboratory setups. This jumbo bosshead can be used with retort stands, condenser clamps and other compatible laboratory support equipment where a strong screw-and-block style connection is required. The boss head is made from heavy-duty die-cast iron and painted with a black finish as listed, making it suitable for routine school, university and laboratory support applications.
The screw and block style connection is designed to support a good amount of weight when correctly fitted to a stable support stand and compatible rod system.
