Description
The Adam ATP2 Thermal Printer, also known as a thermal balance printer, is designed for compatible Adam balances and scales where printed weighing records, sample data and measurement documentation are required. This compact printer connects to compatible weighing instruments through an RS-232 interface and is preset to work with the default RS-232 output on Adam balances. Users should confirm balance model compatibility, cable type, interface settings and print format before purchase or use.
The ATP2 uses direct thermal line printing, eliminating the need for ink ribbons or toner. The listed print speed is approximately 50 mm/s, supporting efficient printing of weighing results, routine measurement records and balance output data. The printer uses 57.5 ± 0.5 mm thermal paper and provides an effective print width of 48 mm. Print density is listed as 8 points/mm, with 384 points per row, helping produce clear and readable weighing printouts for laboratory and industrial documentation.
Operation is straightforward, with a simple on/off switch, paper feed button and two LED indicators. The printer also includes paper handling with hand-to-tear output and photoelectric paper detection for out-of-paper monitoring. The ATP2 supports a range of print commands, including tab setting, spacing adjustment, carriage return, absolute position control, line feed control and double-width character selection where supported by the connected system.
The unit supports ANK character printing and Chinese character database compatibility according to the supplied product data. Users should confirm language, character and output formatting requirements if the printer will be used outside standard weighing printout workflows. The printer dimensions are listed as 197 × 120 × 102 mm, with a net weight of 644 g excluding paper rolls. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for limited bench space in laboratories, stockrooms, QC areas and production environments.
Power supply is listed as DC 12 V, 3 A. Interface details include serial connection, parallel connection and cashbox control support according to the supplied data. Users should confirm the correct interface, connector type and communication settings before installation. The ATP2 is suitable for laboratory balance data recording, quality control documentation, inventory and stockroom weighing records, pharmaceutical compounding documentation, educational laboratory work, food production weighing records, research data collection, shipping and receiving checks, and manufacturing process control.
This item is supplied as the thermal printer only. The balance, scale, paper rolls, communication cables, power accessories and any additional equipment are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Adam ATP2 Thermal Printers for school laboratories, university teaching spaces, research laboratories, QC laboratories, pharmaceutical laboratories, food production facilities, industrial weighing areas and routine documentation workflows requiring compatible balance printout accessories.
