The Norwood-Style Glass Electrodes, Set of 4, also known as an electrolysis electrode set in glass, is designed for approved chemistry and physics demonstrations involving electrolysis and gas collection. The set consists of 4 glass tubes, with each tube containing an electrode mounted inside and protruding from the sealed end for connection to a suitable power source. The kit includes 2 carbon rods in glass, 1 stainless steel rod in glass and 1 platinum wire in glass, allowing different electrode combinations to be used depending on the approved experiment. A bracket is supplied for carrying any 2 electrodes so they can hang into a small beaker of liquid during electrolysis demonstrations.

This apparatus can be used for electrolysis and for generating gases that are collected inside the glass tubes, supporting classroom observation of gas formation at the electrodes.
