General purpose 240V AC, 600W laboratory hot plate with a 200 x 180 mm rectangular heating area and a high temperature alloy plate for even plate temperature. Simmerstat models provide infinitely adjustable heat from LO to HI, with maximum plate temperature approx 420°C for plain plate and approx 320°C for PTFE coated plate. Thermostat models provide 50 to 320°C control and maintain the set temperature, with plain or PTFE coated plate options. Notes provided indicate simmerstat control is recommended where maximum temperature around 420°C is needed for boiling water.
